Published by The Public Catalogue Foundation. 28.5cm by 23cm, 368 pages, illustrated throughout with 2,500 of colour photos of paintings from the Tyne and Wear Museums Service, many of which have never been illustrated in print before. The Public Catalogue Foundation was set up to record the nation’s entire collection of oil paintings in public counwership. This book includes works by Burne-Jones, Holman Hunt, Gauguin, L.S. Lowry, Stanley Spencer and John Martin. Condition: The first page includes four colour photos of a European city centre/centres and is edge-worn, detached from book and laid in (see photo). The rest of the book is intact, clean with minor edge-wear to covers and slight browning with age to edges. Very Good. This is a heavy book and price reflects anticipated postage.
