The 56th Charlton Lecture on Art delivered in the University of Newcastle on the 30th November 1978 by John White , Durning- Lawrence Professor of the History of Art at University College, London. The Charlton Lecture was founded by Mr G.F. Charlton of Gosforth, in memory of his brother, William Henry Charlton. Condition: creasing and slight browning with age to the wraps.
